Some jerk did this to my Outback today and couldn’t be bothered to hang around or leave a note. Think this is PDR-able? Looks close to the limit to me. Hasn’t been a good few days for Oppo dings and dents :(

I got one on mine last week too. Same spot, right on the arch. Fortunately I’m getting some rust cut out on it in the spring, so could be worse

I’m not sure if people don’t leave notes because they know they can’t afford it or if it is just ignorance of just how expensive it is to fix small dents on modern cars. Like they look at it and figure it’s just a scratch when really they’ve done $1000 on damage to your car. I’ve got a similar one on the front of the outback that I’m dragging my feet on fixing that had quotes of $780 and $1100. Just low enough to to not be worth putting on my insurance but enough that I’m really angry that whoever did it just ran away.

Yeah its the lack of care from others that’s most infuriating.I was always taught if you damage something that isn’t yours, you fix it. My idiot son dropped a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch today and got a hard lesson on spending his pumpkin money on a pile of pulp that got tossed in the dumpster.

Yeah no rust here, 2013 model. When I was a dumb 18 year old I hit an old truck in about the same spot. It was so rusty it basically fell apart. I hung around until the owner got there. I thought he was gonna kill me, but he calmed down and was happy I hung around so my insurance could pay for it. Then I had to deal with my dad who was still paying my insurance and wished the truck owner actually had killed me!

Yeah paint is screwed. But PDR + paint is still better than a new fender + fender install labor + paint. Plus I really just want the dent gone.

Not sure. Either the Leon Creek Greenway trailhead by 1604 & Valero or at our church on Bander Road. My wife had it all day. She left it each place for about 5 hours and she didn’t notice it until I pointed it out when she got home. It wasn’t there last night.

My mom got a new (to her) car in April. Since then it has been hit 3 times while parked at her apartment. First time was an honest construction guy who did the right thing. Second time was a note on the windshield with a phone number that nobody would answer. Police said that actually constitutes a hit & run due to a lack of information. Third time is scrapes on the bumper all the way through the paint... no note. I don’t know if this is just a run of bad luck, or if her old car (a beat up Dodge Intrepid) just had so many battle scars that we never noticed the beating it took. Mom finally moved, hopefully the new(er) car will finally be able to be safe when parked.

See how much of it buffs out first, then get a good PDR guy. I’ve been amazed in the past with the work of a good PDR person. Sometimes its less about the size than the access to the ding.

Even if he can’t get this one out 100%, it will be close to the point you will probably be able to live with it.

Pretty sure that’s where the dent on the other side came from. I love how the HEB closest to me put in angled spaces and every time I go I’m nearly hit by someone going the wrong way down the aisle or waiting for someone who did a pull-through trying to 3-point turn out of the space after they realized what they did.

Stray carts at HEB are the worst. They out the returns in dumb spots and people just say fuck it and leave them wherever. I don’t mind the actual store too much, but I really wish there was another legit grocery store chain to compete with it. It is pretty much Walmart and Target as alternatives which isn’t much better. We just got a new Trader Joes, but I keep forgetting it is there. I guess I could also go to Whole Foods with all the other Subarus.

I used to park next to the cart returns cause that’s where the carts don’t go, the back of the lot was usually a pretty good place. I’d settled for a Kroger, maybe not settle cause I actually like that place. I think that trader joes was there the whole time I was there, I got most of my filet mignon there cause it was a good deal; I used to eat a good amount of that cause I could.

Yeah there’s been a TJs down in the Quarry for a long time but the Stone Oak one is pretty new. I park by the cart return too. But that’s mainly because that way I can put the kids in the car and return the cart without worry. But it has the onus of generally not having loose carts around too.
